Biketoberfest rounds out the rally season for 2009, and this year’s event did not disappoint. Solid crowds came out to all of the usual hot spots, like Destination Daytona and downtown’s Main Street, as many motorcyclists, especially from the northeast, took full advantage of the opportunity to get their last rides of the year in before putting their bikes up for the winter.

As can often be the case in tropically located Florida, the weather was challenging for the first few days, going back and forth between brutally hot humidity and pouring rain. But the pay off came on the weekend, where cool breezy temps gave bikers some great weather for riding up the coastline or perusing the rows of vendors at Destination Daytona.

The Vance & Hines Show Truck was scheduled to go to the 26th running of the Love Ride, which was to take place this weekend, but according to the organizers of the Love Ride citing the slow economy, the event has been canceled for 2009.
