Last week, the Vance & Hines Show Truck made the trip out to Laughlin, Nevada, the cozy casino town on the banks of the Colorado River, for the 27th annual Laughlin River Run. This year, the Vance & Hines Show Truck was setup in the parking lot at the Edgewater Casino.
For the first time at a rally, Vance & Hines partnered with J&P Cycles for sales and installs of Vance & Hines product right on the casino lot. This made for a great two-step process, where customers could check out the latest products at the Vance & Hines Show Truck, and then walk right over to the J&P sales representative to make the purchase and get the system installed.
J&P stocked many of the most popular exhaust systems for Touring, Softail, Dyna and Sportster models, along with Fuelpak fuel management systems and VO2 air intake kits to enable customers to get the complete performance package for their v-twin machines.
Far and away, the best sellers for the event were Vance & Hines Touring slip-on mufflers. J&P had three styles on-hand, including the newly re-engineered Basic slip-on, the classic look and best value retailing at $399, the Oval slip-on, another classic with a unique touch incorporating blue-proof technology and the new up-market Monster Oval slip-on, the ultimate premium muffler featuring massive CNC-machined billet end-caps and the deepest growl ever bellowed from a big twin motor.
In addition, the Vance & Hines Show Truck gave a sneak peak at some of the hot new products that are coming out this year, like the brand new Pro Pipe High Output 2-into-1 exhaust system, specifically designed for performance built and tuned v-twin motors. Also, on display was the upcoming new VO2 air intake style called the Duke.
And while the River Run started out with some blazing temperatures characteristic of the arid desert climate, the weekend was fine tuned with some cool breezes, making it a pleasure to check out the bike shows and vendor displays lining the strip. Next up, the Vance & Hines Show Truck is keeping it on the west coast and heading for the mountains for Big Bear Choppers’ 7th annual Ride the Mountain at the Snow Summit Ski Resort in Big Bear Lake, California on Saturday, June 6.
