SUMMARY

The SYSPRO Project Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining and customizing the ERP system and supporting systems. The position includes ensuring business needs and requirements are properly identified, analyzed and documented. The SYSPRO Project Manager will develop proposed solutions that meet or exceed those needs, develop implementation plans, implement and provide training of the solution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and perform ERP software implementation with a strong focus on progress
• Develop/document requirements, business needs analysis, business process review and best practices documents
• Be the subject matter expert in distribution and manufacturing processes and operations
• Recommend, design, and generate reports that assist in accurate performance measurement and progress toward corporate objectives
• Provide instruction, assistance and support to ERP system end-users, applying both technical and functional knowledge for business process development and improvement.
• Analyze and troubleshoots ERP system and supporting systems issues reported by end-users
• Program, develop, test and deploy custom reports and queries to meet end-user requirements and designs
• Develop ERP system data backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Provide training sessions to improve user knowledge and effectiveness in business applications

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate must possess the following:
• 2+ years in implementing a Tier II ERP system (SYSPRO)
• Knowledge and experience with MRP applications
• Experience in distribution/supply chain management and manufacturing
• Strong understanding of accounting and manufacturing procedures, terminology and practices
• Ability to maintain and manage concurrent projects
• Capability to work within a team environment to design the proposed solution for the entire project
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Expertise programming in Extensible Markup Language (XML) and HTML5
• Proficiency in running connections via normal TCP/IP or over a WAN in thin client mode, using application virtualization and streaming technologies such as Terminal Server, etc.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and to communicate and interact effectively with management, users and team members at all levels through both verbal and written means
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communication and skills
• Positive, self-directed and self-motivated

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or minimum of five+ years hands-on, relevant, technical, programming work experience or a combination thereof), advanced degree preferred
