MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Vance & Hines, a leader in the motorcycle aftermarket industry and recognized for quality performance exhaust systems, is in search of a Manufacturing Engineer to become part of our Engineering Department.

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Engineer will report and work in the Manufacturing Engineering Department with a dotted line report to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering. The Manufacturing Engineer performs a variety of engineering support for the production floor, functions as a project coordinator on manufacturing improvements, leads new machine designs and performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
• Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
• Creates and/or updates all facility drawings
• Provides engineering technical support to all departments
• Provide guidance for the Manufacturing Support Department on assigned projects and tasks
• Document machine setups and processes
• Design manufacturing machines and tools as needed
• Assists in the design of product support tooling
