Riding the XR1200 is a blast from the past for me. I grew up racing dirt track and spent a lot of time with the Harley-Davidson XR750, so I feel right at home on the motorcycle. The bike suits my style and I’m looking forward to an exciting season in the new series.”

“The Harley Davidson Vance and Hines XR1200 is an awesome motorcycle. I have extensive dirt track racing experience so the handlebars and riding position of the motorcycle made me feel right at home. Despite the weight, I found the XR1200 to be very agile and responsive. At first I was quite nervous to push the XR1200 to its limits but after my AB1 motorsports team adjusted the suspension to the proper settings, it allowed me to ride the motorcycle to its maximum capabilities. Even though I broke the shift lever off the motorcycle with a couple laps to go in the race I still was able to come home with a respectable 5th place finish.”

Shawn Conrad #7

Team: Wes Orloff Racing
Hometown: Macedon, NY
Titles:1999 Pro Thunder Champion

“I’m excited to see that Vance and Hines has made the XR1200 Harley-Davidson Series happen. When I was approached by my sponsor Peter Brady to be a part of this new series I was like are you kidding me? After all, it has been at least 2 decades since I’ve rode American. Without hesitation I said Hell yea! One thing I want to say about the XR1200 Vance & Hines Series is I can’t wait for the next race and I hope all will agree. I think that this series is a positive step in the right direction for the racing world.”

“The race was a lot of fun and it helped to qualify on the front row. We had a good race for the podium for the first half of the race until I had a big moment and tucked the front in Turn 11. That allowed them to get a gap and once I lost the draft it was over. We ran well though and fourth is a solid finish. But most of all it was a blast!”

Michael Corbino #52

“This is my first year racing the AMA Pro Racing Series in the Supersport Class. When I saw how much fun the guys were having racing the XR 1200, I had to see how I could get involved. Fortunately for me Richie Morris agreed to let me ride one of his bikes. Racing this bike really put a smile on my face. Now I’m making plans to race the entire 2011 XR 1200 series.”

“Winning the final race in the American series was the icing on the cake in what has been a fantastic and fun year racing the Warr’s XR1200. I was in some pain over the weekend due to the cracked ribs I sustained during a testing session in Spain, but I was determined to end the season on a high. To beat the other Harley riders in their own back yard is a testament to Warr’s experience and expertise in prepping bikes and providing a reliable package.”
