Hope this helps some of y’all…
I went with this exhaust because I wanted a 2-1 with front sweeping headers to maximize performance and I also think this exhaust looks great, it immediately caught my eye. While researching on which exhaust was right for me I was keeping an open mind but kept coming back to this one and man am I happy I did… The black powder coating nicely kept the aesthetic of my 22FXLRS while enhancing the overall look, giving it a far more aggressive stance.
Overall, the install wasn’t bad, took about 6 hours on my day off while taking my time and doing it right but I’m happy and relieved it’s done! This was the first exhaust I’ve done and I’ll say as long as you have access to the right tools, you shouldn’t have any issues. I threw the bike on the jack which helped my back but it can be done without one no problem. The directions are pretty straightforward and helped a lot.
As for the exhaust, it’s very secure, high quality and I think it sounds amazing. Low, deep, thunderous bass tone on idle with a heavy growl at the twist of the throttle. Decel and engine braking sounds just as good. It’s very “full-bodied” and has that bad ass look and sound that we look for, and it screams power… It’s very satisfying and addicting to rip through gears so beware lol. I will say I didn’t want something too loud or obnoxious but I also didn’t want to wish it was louder and this strikes the perfect balance IMO. I can still hear the M8 engine coming though. I have Short Shots on my Night Train and they are about the same loudness, to give you an idea. Regardless, people will hear you and it will certainly turn heads, positively. This exhaust was perfectly executed imo.
I’m currently running the stock 117 intake but plan on installing the Cage Fighter I have on hand at some point. Regardless, with this exhaust and the FP4 the bike RIPS. No joke. The Lowrider S is no slouch to begin with but I immediately noticed the difference, increased torque and HP. The torque throws me in the back of my saddle and the horsies lift my feet off the pegs lol. Idk if it’s just the added vibration or what but the power band is now different, too (assuming because of the tune) so… with stock I’d normally be shifting from 4th-5th jolting around wheras now I can rip it in 5th from about 45-75mph oozing all sorts of torque and HP goodness. 5th is now a very long and very fun gear to hang out in.
I can’t emphasize enough how much this changed the feel of the bike. I think V&H nailed it with this exhaust and I’m confident using it since it’s from a name I can trust… I mean, these guys know what they’re doing. However, this setup is probably not for a beginner, I’m a moderately advanced rider so for me this is a lot of fun, but it could be a bit too much for novice riders… idk. The FP4 is pretty cool, too. Super easy to use and also helped make a huge difference.
All in all, I’m VERY happy with my purchase and absolutely loving this setup. I’m confident my bike is running great and that’s all I hoped for. Thanks Vance & Hines, this is some killer stuff you got me hooked up with and I’m here for it!

2022 FXLRS. Not as annoyingly loud as some describe it. Amazing tones on throttle and even better on shift and engine braking. Depending on your build, you MIGHT notice a slight decrease in Torque but increase in HP. Once tuned, both will increase. I recommend forward controls as the stock heat shield stops at the pegs, not allowing much protection for your pants legs at signal lights. Super easy install!!
