Kainz, who celebrated her 20th birthday on September 20, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and lived in nearby Greenfield. She graduated from Greenfield High School and attended the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. Riding a Harley-Davidson XR-750, Kainz posted the 13th-quickest lap time in practice, 41.082, and qualified 14th with a 40.053. She crashed in the second turn during her heat race. Kainz’s best finish this season was 13th at the Arizona Mile.
Kyle McGrane, 17, joined the Pro Flat Track ranks in the GNC2 class last year and showed promise both on and off the track. McGrane was born in Gap, Penn. but had a growing fanbase nationwide with Main event appearances and a Heat race win at the 2016 Law Tigers Arizona Mile.
