GENERAL WARRANTY
All Vance & Hines products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year. This warranty does not cover discoloration or rust. This warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of the product, which may be proven defective under normal use. Vance & Hines will not warranty any system that has been abused, misused, improperly installed or modified.
Dealers or distributors are not authorized to make dispositions binding upon Vance & Hines. Vance & Hines will not be responsible for any labor charges incurred in removing or replacing any system under warranty. A return authorization number and a copy of the original purchase invoice must accompany all returns. Parts returned without a return authorization may be refused.
TRUCK EXHAUST WARRANTY POLICY
Warranties are legal statements which define and limit the liability of manufacturers toward their products. The reputation of a company is built not only on the excellence of its products but also on customer service.
Vance & Hines obligation under our warranty policies is limited to repair or replacement of the defective item(s). The consumer will be responsible for removing from the vehicle any defective item(s), transportation costs prepaid and for reinstallation upon return by Vance & Hines.
The loss of use of the product, loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss, or consequential damages are not covered. Vance & Hines reserves the right to change the design of any product without assuming any obligation to modify any product previously manufactured.
Cat-Back and DPF-Back Exhaust Systems Limited Lifetime Warranty
Vance & Hines Truck Exhaust Systems are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty (“LLW”) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship to the original owner from the date of purchase. This LLW is limited to truck exhaust systems used under normal operating conditions. Coverage under this LLW is limited to exhaust tubing, weldments and brackets, but excludes exhaust tips. This LLW does not cover discoloration or rust. This LLW also does not cover damage caused by misuse, alteration, improper installation or improper maintenance. This LLW does not cover truck exhaust systems which are used in closed course competition or subject to accidental damage, abuse, or neglect. This LLW applies only when installed properly as described by the installation instructions. This LLW does not extend to subsequent owner(s).
Exhaust Tips One Year Limited Warranty
Vance & Hines warrants its Truck Exhaust Tips to be free from defects in materials and workmanship to the original owner for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase. This warranty does not cover pinhole sized pitting on the inside of tips, which is considered normal wear and tear; blemishes or marring of appearance due to weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance or extremes of heat or cold. This Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, alteration, improper installation or improper maintenance. This warranty does not cover truck exhaust tips which are used in closed course competition or subject to accidental damage, abuse, or neglect. This warranty applies only when installation instructions are followed. This warranty does not extend to subsequent owner(s).
Warranty Return Policy
Vance & Hines requires an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization) on all returns. This RMA number may be obtained by contacting one of our customer service representatives at Vance & Hines. Vance & Hines also requires any defective item(s) to be returned complete along with a dated proof of purchase, return address, daytime phone number, and a thorough explanation of the reason for the return. Simply using the word “Defective” for an explanation is not descriptive enough.
